Yes, almonds are low histamine, as are most nuts & seeds. However there are a bevy of plant toxins in almonds and other nuts, seeds, legumes, and grains that can cause issues in sensitive individuals. Some of these toxins include lectins, oxalates, salicylates, phytic acid, and anti-vitamins. If you’re on a low histamine elimination diet, you should wait at least two weeks into the diet before reintroducing almonds and other nuts.
